Acupuncture is the treatment of conditions or symptoms by the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body to cause a desired healing effect. Acupuncture can be used as a treatment by itself, or in conjunction with other modalities, such as Chinese herbal therapies, food therapies, and Western medicine. Each acupuncture point has specific actions when stimulated. Combinations of points are often stimulated to take advantage of synergistic reactions between them.
We recommend a professional dental cleaning once yearly for most pets. We use ultrasonic and hand scaling to clean the teeth safely. Once cleaned, the teeth are polished to resist future plaque from forming. In some cases, dental radiographs are used to check for disease in the bones of the jaw. Extractions of diseased or broken teeth are sometimes necessary.
Diagnostic Laboratory Services:
Using our in house laboratory, as well as commercial and university facilities, we are able to perform a variety of laboratory procedures for your pet. These procedures include chemistry profiles and complete blood counts and biopsies.

Emergency and Critical Care:

Microchipping is a permanent form of identification for your pet. A small chip is placed under the skin that contains information about your pet that is read using a scanner. Most veterinary clinics and animal control agencies have a microchip scanner. After the microchip is implanted, we will register your pet’s chip for you. Collars and tags can come off, but a microchip increases the chance of a safe recovery of your pet.
We want to prevent and minimize your pet’s pain. We use the safest pain management possible to alleviate pain, whether it is post-surgical or a chronic problem such as arthritis.
We have a large range of veterinary pharmaceuticals available in our pharmacy. Most prescriptions can be filled while you are in the clinic. We also have an assortment of leashes and collars, treats and toys, supplements and pet foods.
Radiographs allow the veterinarian to evaluate and diagnose many problems including orthopedic, gastrointestinal, and cardiovascular disorders, as well as diseases of the urinary system. All of our radiographs are taken in our hospital and interpreted immediately by the veterinarian.
We offer advanced surgical services to our patients. Our fully trained veterinary and technical staff ensures that your pet receives the safest and most efficient procedures. We use the safest anesthesia available and monitor each surgery patient’s blood pressure, heart and respiratory rates, heart rhythm, oxygen levels, and body temperature.
Ultrasound uses sound waves to examine your pet’s internal organs. This technology is used to assist the doctor in diagnosing conditions of the internal organs or the heart.
Vet-Stem Regenerative Stem Cells have been proven to reduce pain and inflammation in pets with osteoarthritis and other orthopedic injuries. The stem cells are produced from a pet’s own fat cells.
